Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training
This qualification applies to people for whom training is a large part of their job, or a full job function within a structured assessment and training system. It is a nationally recognised qualification, (ratified by the Australian National Training Authority), and is increasingly sought by Australian organisations because it provides solid skills training in training and assessment, and also requires participants to demonstrate their competency in this key area.
In this sense, it is very different from so many courses which do not require participants to demonstrate any competence in the areas covered.
The training will be carried out in conjunction with ACUcom, which is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and a division of ACU National. Narayan van de Graaff is accredited to teach this course, and has run many public and organisation specific courses in recent years.
The course facilitated by Narayan in conjunction with ACU National is normally five to six full days, typically over two weeks. However, participants who can demonstrate the necessary competence in key areas (such as Plan, Conduct and Review Training) may be able to receive Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for some of the modules. The course is then typically three days long. Many courses are in-house.
By way of example, Narayan ran seven Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training workshops for trainers within a large financial organisation who all received RPL for most of the modules.
